A little bit more about myself...

At the end of the day I just really like writing. It's what led me to major in journalism at UW-Eau Claire and what lead me to write for my school's newspaper. I worked as a writer and editor for 2 years and was then able to work my way up to become the editor-in-chief. In that time I was able to fine tune my love for writing into a tangible skill as well as well learn the ability to edit and fine tune other peoples work for our print and online editions.

During my sophomore year I also started to grow an interest in marketing and how I could use the writing and communication skills from  journalism in a business context. This led me to seek out an internship at a WiSys, a non-profit organization that seeks to help student researchers and entrepreneurs achieve their goals. As a marketing and communications intern for them I have been able to further fine tune my skills writing some of their online content, social media posts, and helping manage email lists. Through this, I have also been able to gain valuable experience with the day to day communication of a corporate setting.

Looking forward, I hope to continue gaining experience with content writing and marketing and the skills i have learned in larger role after I graduate in the spring.
